Chapters 6 and 7 and the Need to Redo

Hey!  To anyone who has frequented to this site since 2007, you may notice that I only have the first five chapters of the series up on the new site.  Didn’t we have Chapters 6 and 7 done?  We did, however a while back I made the decision to do a complete redo of these chapters and they are still in different stages of development.  “Why” you may ask?  Well I actually have about three good reasons but most of them had to do with you the readers and buyers of the first book.

1. To get you more ThunderKid more often.

One question that I got very often when I was doing fairs and markets before 2016 was “when is the next book coming out?”  I would always have to answer, “not for a while” of course.  The original plan was to release books in five issue volumes; but that’s a lot of time to have one book on the rack on sale so eventually we decided that we have to release them in chapter form first.  But of course we had the complete chapters already, but that brings me to my next reason:

2. Color makes the story pop!

At the end of the day color pages stand out a lot more than black and white, especially in a land (Icenoz) where over half your characters are blue toned!  Plus color is one of the things readers wished Volume 1 had when it was released and I agree.  But while the story is being redone in color as well as a full re-inking of the pages, why not make some updates to the story itself?

3. The story will be getting a big revision!

The new Chapters 6 and 7 are going to have a lot more content than the first versions.  To start with, Denki’s new girl friends Ciclia and Flaeka will have a much more prominent role as the newest members of the ThunderKid Gang.  This goes double for Hailo’s teenage friends, who will be more vocal and active by the climax of the story.  Finally, the kingdom of Icenoz will be getting a lot more life so you’ll be seeing a lot more of the populous and scenery than before and in color too!

To close, Chapters 6 and 7 are in different stages of development right now.  I know it’s been a long time since you heard anything ThunderKid, but know that we are working on things and are looking forward to getting you the next book as soon as we can.  Thanks!
